Opening in the winter of 1983, Ski Country Sports has served the skiers and snowboarders of North Carolina and the South for over 20 years. Starting with a small ski shop across from Sugar Mountain in Banner Elk, Ski Country has expanded into one of the largest ski and snowboard store's on the East Coast with additional locations in Asheville and Charlotte, North Carolina. The dedicated staff is made up of winter sports enthusiasts who love what they do. They have the knowledge and expertise to take care of all of your needs.

If you only get out on the mountain a couple of times per year, Ski Country is the largest independent rental operator in the South, with over 1,000 sets of skis and snowboards; we can handle large groups as well as small families.
