The Burton Men's AMB Snowboard Boot effortlessly transitions from upper-mountain laps to afternoon park sessions with the go-anywhere versatility. Based off last year's Ambush but with an upgraded DynoBite EST sole, the AMB is an ideal choice for riders desiring an extremely lightweight boot that excels everywhere on the mountain. Its mid-range stiffness delivers enough response for dropping into bowls and carving groomers, yet it's not overly stiff when you decide to hit jibs and jumps.
Its Wishbone upper uses high-rebound Jumper Cables along the medial and lateral sides for responsive turning without reducing tweakability in the park. Oversized flex notches deliver easy-flexing with less shell distortion when you're pressing rails and tweaking off jumps. Speed Zone lacing dials in a precise fit over the upper and lower zones, giving you a custom feel to the terrain at hand. Keep both zones looser for a more skate-like feel on boxes and rails or tighten down both the upper and lower when you're bombing black diamonds. Either way, it's totally up to you, which is exactly what Burton intended.
Inside the boot, the Imprint 3 liner is found on many of Burton's higher end offerings (such as the Imperial), giving you a thermo-moldable fit that conforms to your feet over time. Its Focus Cuff Heel Hold system and optional J-bars prevent dreaded heel lift when you're carving at high speeds.
New for this year, Burton equipped the AMB Boot with their DynoBite EST sole. Standing for Extra Sensory Technology (EST), the DynoBite EST delivers a skate-like feel without excess material inhibiting board feel and flex. And although last year's Ambush featured an EST outsole, the AMB's new DynoBite sole has more aggressive traction for sure-footed grip when you're crossing icy parking lots and boot-packing up the hill.
