The Luhta Sammalvaara Suit is designed for a slim, flattering fit while delivering superior comfort and protection in cold weather. Featuring articulated elbows, a faux-fur inner collar, and a detachable, adjustable hood, they provide warmth and flexibility, enhanced by 4-way stretch fabric for maximum freedom of movement. Ribbed inner cuffs, adjustable leg bottoms, and snow gaiters with an anti-slip silicone band help seal out the cold, while zips at the leg hems allow for easy adjustment and layering. Practical details include two front pockets with water-repellent zips, lined hand-warming pockets, an internal zip pocket, and a ski pass pocket on the sleeve. The overalls also feature a water-repellent front zip, belt loops with a detachable elastic belt and metal buckle, and interior shoulder straps that allow the garment to be easily shrugged off and carried when indoors or when the weather warms. Engineered as part of the A.W.S. ACTIVE series, this hybrid garment combines different materials to balance weather protection, comfort, and functionality, making it suitable for both active and casual use. The lightweight down-imitation padding provides excellent thermal insulation, while the softshell sections ensure flexibility and protection during outdoor activities. Fully treated with a water-repellent finish, the overalls have a 10,000 mm water column and 5,000 g/m²/24h breathability. They are also sustainably made with REPREVE® polyester from 100% recycled materials, including post-consumer plastic bottles.
